Product import templates
Overview
You can import products into Cin7 Omni in bulk. You can create new products, fashion products, or alternative units of measure products.
You will need to download either the:
You will add your product details to a template spreadsheet before importing into Cin7 Omni.
You can import into any product field (except alternative suppliers) but you may need to add it as a column to the spreadsheet.
Download the template
Download either the product import template, fashion product import template, or the alternative units of measure product import template.
Product template
Download the template for importing products. This will not import fashion products or products with alternative units of measure.
Fashion product template
Download the template for importing fashion products. This allows you to import size and other fashion specific fields.

Alternative unit of measure product template
Download the template for importing products with an alternative units of measure (UOM). This template has specific fields for alternative UOM products.

Edit the import template
You will need to:
Delete any help or placeholder text that appears beneath the header row.
Add the Product Name, Stock Control, and Price Code for each product. These fields are required to create a product in Cin7 Omni.
After you enter any other information, hide all the unused rows and save the file as a .CSV.
Once you have finished editing your spreadsheet, you can import your new products.

Category |
Parent level category. |
Subcategory |
Subcategory of the product. You can only import two levels of subcategories. Cin7 Omni allows you to create three levels of subcategories, but you can't import a third level. |
Product name |
Required. This is the name of the product. |
Description |
A long description of the product. |
Supplier |
Preferred supplier of the product. It must match exactly the name of a supplier in the system for a match to be created automatically. |
Stock control |
Required. Choose a Stock control method: FIFO, Batch, Serial, or Non-Stock. |
Option 1 label |
Title of option 1 (for example, color, not red). |
Option 2 label |
Title of option 2 (for example, color, not red). |
Price code |
Required. This is the unique code for each option. |

The option (for example, red not color). |
Option 2 |
The second option (for example, red not color). |
Cost price |
Cost price of the product in the home currency. |
Retail price |
Retail price of the product in your home currency. |
Wholesale price |
Wholesale price for the product. |
VIP price |
Price for VIPs. |
Fashion product specific fields | |
Style code |
A code common to a group of product options and size options. |
SKU/size range |
A SKU/size range (for example, XS, S, M, L, XL). The same range is used for all options in a product. If no size range exists, the import process will create a new range with the name in this field and the sizes in the size column. |
Size code |
Unique code applied to a size (e.g. Ts-1-M). |
Size |
A single size (e.g. M) from a size range (e.g. XS, S, M, L, XL). |
Alternative units of measure product specific fields | |
UOM code |
Each alternative unit of measure requires a unique code (or SKU). This code appears on invoices and helps you to determine what measurement unit is in a transaction. (e.g. rg1-box). |
Price UOM |
The price per this unit of measure. |
UOM cost |
The cost of this unit of measure. |
UOM size |
A number that determine how many of your units should be received or dispatched (e.g. 6 to send 6 bottles of beer). |
UOM option 1 |
The name of the unit of measure that will appear on invoices and other documents |
UOM option 2 |
Another name of the unit of measure that will appear on invoices and other documents |
