Add ShipStation fees to a sales order
Overview
Connecting to ShipStation will allow you to see shipping fees directly from the sales order in Cin7 Omni.
Product weight
You must add a weight to each product within the order to correctly calculate shipping costs. Weights can be applied at the product level or the product option level. This means if you have a product with a number of options, where each option has a significantly different weight, you can add a weight to each option.
The weight field specifies "KG"; however, you can use imperial measurements. You should match the ShipStation weight settings to match your preferred measurement system (metric or imperial).
Add shipping fees to a sales order
To add calculated shipping fees to an order, there are a few prerequisites:
You have connected and set up ShipStation for your Cin7 Omni account
Your dispatch branch has a valid postcode/ZIP code in the branch CRM page.
Your customer has a valid postcode/ZIP code in the Sales Order.
In order for freight fees to be calculated automatically, please contact your Cin7 Omni Onboarding team or Cin7 Omni Support to switch on fee calculations for ShipStation in sales orders. This will also show delivery outside of business hour warnings if you use Amazon Business.
To add freight fees to an order:
Select the Freight description field (this is the larger of the two fields).

Select the appropriate fee from the drop-down that appears.
Selecting an option will input the cost of the freight; you may wish to manually increase the fee.
Automatic Fee Markup
You can set up your Cin7 Osmni integration with ShipStation to automatically add a percentage to the calculated shipping cost.
