Set up ShipStation

Overview

Find out how to install, connect, and configure a ShipStation integration.

Install ShipStation

  1. Log in to Cin7 Omni as an administrator.

  2. From the navigation, select the App Store.

  3. Open the Shipping tab and select ShipStation.

  4. Select Request App Installation.

  5. On the dialog, select Install.

Once your request has been approved, you’ll find your ShipStation integration in the Integrations menu in the navigation.

Connect ShipStation

Your ShipStation integration has two parts:

  • the rate calculator

  • the store.

Connect the rate calculator

To connect the rate calculator, you need your API key and secret from ShipStation:

  1. Log in to ShipStation.

  2. Select Settings (the cog icon).

  3. Open the Account tab and select API Settings. If you can’t see your API key and secret, you’ll need to generate them.

Now you can connect the rate calculator:

  1. Log in to Cin7 Omni as an administrator.

  2. From the Integrations menu in the navigation, open your ShipStation integration.

  3. Open Settings (the cog icon).

  4. Under Rate Calculator (Sales Order Screen), enter your ShipStation API key into the API Key field and your ShipStation API secret into the API Secret field.

  5. Under Options, enter an email address into Send errors to field.

  6. Select Save.

Then configure the rate calculator.

Connect the store

To connect the store, you need your Username and Password from your ShipStation integration settings:

  1. Log in to Cin7 as an administrator.

  2. From the Integrations menu in the navigation, open your ShipStation integration.

  3. Select Settings (the cog icon).

Your integration’s Username and Password are listed under Cin7 Store Integration – you should select Refresh (the green icon) next to Password once.

Now you can connect and configure the store:

  1. Log in to ShipStation

  2. Follow ShipStation’s instructions to connect a store.

    • for marketplace, select Cin7

    • for username, enter your integration’s Username

    • for password, enter your integration’s Password

    • for unpaid status, enter “New”

    • for paid status, enter “Fully Picked”

    • and for shipped status, enter “Shipped”

Then configure the store.
