Smart Reorder
Overview
Smart reorder provides replenishment suggestions to optimize your inventory and stock levels.
These suggestions can help you:
Keep optimal stock levels, avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
Have your top-performing products in stock and available to your customers.
Free up warehouse space and save the cost of storing products that aren't selling.
Save time and streamline your purchasing by creating purchase orders in bulk.
Smart Reorder will ignore Non Stock and Inactive products.
We recommend at least 6 months of sales history in Cin7 Omni.
Open Smart Reorder
Use Smart Reorder to see which of your items should be purchased from suppliers, transferred from other branches, or assembled with production jobs to meet forecasted customer demand.
Select
Purchases, and then Smart Reorder in the Cin7 Omni navigation.
Smart Reorder can show suggested replenishment quantities for:
- Purchase: You can reorder products for a specific branch or from a specific supplier. Other products from the selected supplier that are within 7 days of their reorder date will also be listed here.
- Production Job: Prepare for upcoming sales by manufacturing products for a specific branch. Cin7 ForesightAI will analyze past sales and estimate future demand. The production job suggestions will help you avoid stockouts or miss deadlines because of manufacturing delays.
- Branch Transfer: Move stock from another branch in your organization. Cin7 ForesightAI will analyze your branch stock levels and suggest branch transfers to reduce stockouts and overstocking. With these suggestions, your branches will have the right balance of stock for their customers, without necessarily buying more products.
You can also choose the Period, Branch, Supplier, and Product Segment that Smart Reorder should plan the replenishment for. These options will affect your totals as well.
View suggestions
When you open Smart Reorder, you will see today's purchase order suggestions. You can view all of the suggested products, the recommended Reorder Quantity, and ForesightAI insights.
You can search for a specific product(s) or change the list view of the suggestions. Hover over a column name (e.g. Product) and select the three dots to sort, hide, or change columns in the list.
ForesightAI provides recommendations that are optimized for your inventory management. While we do not recommend changing these proposed quantities, you can manually adjust the Reorder quantity. Before adjusting the quantity, you should review the Product insights, Totals, Product status, and the Product segments to make an informed decision.
