Sales forecast report
Overview
The Sales Forecast report analyzes your past sales and predicts the future sales for your products. Identify seasonal trends, best performing branches or products, and anticipate sales demand. You can take insights from this report to plan stock purchases, match historic sales, and calculate your future revenue. This report will forecast up to 2 years into the future.
ForesightAI reports are updated daily so the information may be different to other Cin7 Omni reports. ForesightAI does not review Non Stock products.
You will need to install ForesightAI to access this report. This is an additional cost to your Cin7 Omnisubscription.
We recommend at least 6 months of sales history in Cin7 Omni.
Open Sales Forecast report
After you have installed ForesightAI, you can view all ForesightAI reports in Cin7 Omni.
Select Insights in the navigation.
Select the Retail Reports Dashboard. You should see all reports under the ForesightAI section.
Sales Forecast report columns
The Sales Forecast report includes a range of Cin7 Omnifields and ForesightAI observations. These ForesightAI fields can help you predict future sales.
| ForesightAI column | Description |
| Forecasted Amount | Estimates the quantity sold based on your sales history. |
| Forecasted Revenue | Calculates the potential sales (Forecasted Amount * Sale Price). |
| Sale Price | Shows the price for the product (from your default price tier). |
| Stock Price | This is the Unit Cost (rounded) for the product. |
| Year | View potential sales for the year and next year. Maximum 2 years of forecasting. There will be a total for each year. |
| Month | View potential sales for each month. |
Other Omni fields include Supplier, Brand, Barcode, Project Name, Branch, Code, and Product Name. The Sales Forecast report calculates a Grand Total in the last column. This total will also sum the Sale Price.
These insights are based on AI recommendations and estimates so you may see some variances.
Remove fields, filter, or export the report
Refine your report by removing, filtering, or sorting fields. You can also create an Excel spreadsheet from this report by selecting Export to Excel file. If there is a lot of data in a report, you may receive this option before the page loads.
You can drag columns to add more fields to the report or change the layout of the report. Cin7 Omni reports use a pivot grid. Alternatively, you can use the Field Chooser to filter results, remove fields, and change the layout.
