Potential stockout report
Overview
The Potential Stockout report details which items are in a stockout or likely to run out of stock. Identify products that need more stock, when the expected stockout will start and end, and how much revenue you could lose from the stockout. You can take insights from this report to reallocate stock from other branches or order more stock.
ForesightAI reports are updated daily so the information may be different to other Cin7 Omni reports. ForesightAI does not review Non Stock products.
You will need to install ForesightAI to access this report. This is an additional cost to your Cin7 Omnisubscription.
We recommend at least 6 months of sales history in Cin7 Omni.
Open Potential Stockout report
After you have installed ForesightAI, you can view all ForesightAI reports in Cin7 Omni.
Select Insights in the navigation.
Select the Retail Reports Dashboard. You should see all reports under the ForesightAI section.
Potential Stockout report columns
The Potenital Stockout report includes a range of Cin7 Omnifields and ForesightAI observations. These ForesightAI fields can help you manage your out of stock items.
ForesightAI column | Description |
Stockout From | Shows the starting date of the stockout. This can either be an active stockout (products are already out of stock) or a predicted stockout. |
Stockout To | Estimates the expected end date of the stockout. This is based on supplier lead and delivery times from previous purchase orders. |
Days In Stockout | How many days you are in stockout (Stockout To - Stockout From). |
Demand Segment | Shows if the overstocked product is a Winner, Loser, or Chaser. |
Lost Sales | Estimates the amount of sales missed during the stockout period. |
Lost Revenue | Calculates the value of sales lost during the stockout period (Sale Price (default) * Lost Sales). This sale price uses your default price tier. |
Lost Margin | Calculates the amount of margin lost during the stockout period (Sale Price (default) * Unit Cost). |
Other Omni fields include Supplier, Brand, Barcode, Project Name, Branch, Code, and Product Name.
These insights are based on AI recommendations and estimates so you may see some variances.
Remove fields, filter, or export the report
Refine your report by removing, filtering, or sorting fields. You can also create an Excel spreadsheet from this report by selecting Export to Excel file. If there is a lot of data in a report, you may receive this option before the page loads.
You can drag columns to add more fields to the report or change the layout of the report. Cin7 Omni reports use a pivot grid. Alternatively, you can use the Field Chooser to filter results, remove fields, and change the layout.
