Set up POS gift vouchers

Overview

You can create gift voucher products in Cin7 Omni to sell within the POS. It also guides you with the steps in changing gift voucher settings.

When you sell a gift voucher to a customer, you are selling a pre-created non-stock product.

In the left navigation, select Products.
Select Create New Product on the right, this will open the New Product page in a new tab
Enter Gift Voucher $100 as a product name (with your chosen gift card amount).
Change Order Type to Gift Voucher.
Change Stock Control to Non-Stock.
Add a Product Option Code and the gift voucher amount.
Add the gift voucher amount as the Retail Price.
Select Save and Close.

There are a couple of settings that you can configure for gift vouchers.

Once logged in as an Administrator, you will see your username on the top right corner. Select your username, then select Settings.
From the POS menu, select POS Settings.
Gift Voucher Expiry
This allows you to choose the expiration period for your gift vouchers.
Generate Gift Voucher Codes
- Choose Scan or manually enter your own voucher code and amount to enter the code into the POS at the time of transaction. This is if you have pre printed gift vouchers with their own coding system.
- Choose Cin7 automatically generate codes to have Cin7 Omni create the codes.
- Gift Voucher codes must be longer than four digits.
Select Save to save any changes.
