Track stock movements

Overview

Track Stock Movements maintains a record of every stock movement including stock moving in, stock moving out, and stock moving within the system. This is useful if you have an unexpected level of stock on hand and would like to investigate the cause.

Track product movements

  1. Select Stock in the left navigation.

  2. Select Track Stock Movements.

 

Track Stock Movements will show all the stock that is moving into Cin7 Omni, moving out of Cin7 Omni, and moving within Cin7 Omni. Stock coming into Cin7 Omni increases the Stock on Hand (SOH) and stock going out of Cin7 Omni will decrease the SOH. The total quantity of the stock on hand will be displayed in bold at the bottom of the SerialQty column for the selected products.

Every row in the table represents stock movement for a particular transaction. Transactions can be filtered by applying additional filters like Last Stock Count, Last Transaction, Branch, Products, Group By, Type, Batch Numbers, Product Code.

Table columns

Code

Code column displays the code of the product in the transaction.

Date

Date column displays the Fully Dispatched date of the transaction.

Product Name.

Product Name column displays the name of the product in the transaction.

Holding Group

Holding Group displays the group in which the stock is held back for that respective product in the transaction.

TransType

The TransType column displays the transaction type of the product for the stock movement.

Transaction type enables you to identify if the transaction is a sales order, purchase order, or credit note.

Ref

Ref column displays the reference code of the original transaction.

Ref enables you to locate the transaction that resulted in the stock movement.

Company

When the transaction type is a sales order or a credit note the Company column will display the customer's company name.

When the transaction type is a purchase order then the Company column will display your branch details.

BatchNos

Products that have Batch selected in their stock control method will display the batch number of the products for the transaction.
Transactions that cause stock movement containing products from multiple batches will be split into separate rows, with one row per product batch.

Products that have FIFO (First In First Out) selected as their stock control method will display FIFO in the BatchNos column of the products in the respective transaction.

Products that have Serial selected as their stock control method will display the serial number of the product for the respective transaction. For products with serial numbers, each product in the transaction will be displayed individually in the Track Stock Movement table.

SerialQty

The SerialQty column displays the changes in the stock level of the product for that transaction.

  • Positive quantities represent increase in stock on hand.

  • Negative quantities represent decrease in stock.

  • 0 represents no change in stock level.

Direction

The Direction column displays stock values that are moving in or moving out of Cin7 Omni, for the product.

  • Positive values represent stock moving into Cin7 Omni

  • Negative values represent stock moving out of Cin7 Omni

  • 0 represents no change in stock.

Category

The Category column displays the parent category of the product in the transaction.

SubCat

The SubCat displays the sub-category of the product in the transaction.

Branch

The Branch column displays the Branch from which the transaction took place.

Branch transfer stock movements

Branch transfers create two stock movements.
The first increases stock as the product is received into the new branch.

The second decreases stock because the product leaves the original branch.
