Set up POS

Set up POS

Overview

The POS (Point of Sale) works in the browser both online and offline. A few steps need to be followed in setting this up before you can start using it, which will enable the POS to work offline. This document will help you in setting up the POS. You will learn how to find your POS ID and Key, how to bookmark the POS, and how to log into the POS.

Find your POS ID and POS Key

  1. Once logged in as an Administrator, you will see your username in the top right corner.  Select your username, then select Settings.

2. From the POS menu, select POS Settings.

3. Record your POS ID and POS Key.

If you are setting up the POS for the first time, you can change the default server password to something unique.

Set up POS

Or
Alternatively, you can select the direct URL: https://pos.cin7.com/Cloud/POS/Client3/pos.html.

Bookmark the POS

  2. If the POS has never been set up before, you will be presented with the following three fields:

    1. Enter the POS ID and POS Key that you noted earlier.

    2. Note: This is not your email address and password.

  3. Enter a Register Code. This can be anything you like but must not have been used by other registers in your company. A registered code identifies the specific POS device that you are using.

  4. Once completed, select Save.

  5. The POS will start syncing with Cin7 Omni.

Once synced, you will be taken to the standard login screen with your username and password.

  2. Enter the password for your account.

  3. Select Login or press the enter key.
