Customize POS receipts

Overview

The Receipt Builder can be used to customize POS receipts for both receipt printers and A4 printers.

Administrator rights required

Customize a receipt

  1. Select your username in the top right and then select Settings.

  2. Under POS, select POS Receipt Builder.

By default, this will take you to the receipt printer version of the design.

If you like to create an A4 version of the receipt instead:

  1. Scroll to the bottom and select Reset.

  2. Select A4 and then select Confirm.

After completing your modifications, you can select Save to save your changes.

You can restore the template to the default design. This cannot be undone. Select Reset to restore the template.

Design options

There are a collection of design options that can be modified using the settings on the right of the Receipt Builder.

Header

  • Show logo
    This checkbox allows you to show or hide your logo.

  • Upload Logo
    Select this link to upload a new logo to use on the receipt.

  • Branch Company Name

    • Dynamic
      Based on the Company name for the branch in the CRM.

    • Fixed
      The same for all receipts, irrespective of branch.

  • Company Name
    The name of the company appears on top of the receipt. This field is only available if you choose to use a fixed branch company name.

  • Tax Registration Number
    If required, use this field to add a tax/ABN/GST number.

  • Show served by
    This checkbox allows you to show or hide the staff member that served the customer for that sale.

Customer details (non-cash customer)

A series of checkboxes allows you to show or hide fields related to the customer's details. These do not apply when the sale is assigned to a Cash Customer.

Line items

These checkboxes allow you to show or hide fields relating to the line items sold and any discounts applied.

Branch details

These checkboxes allow you to show or hide fields containing information about the branch. Some fields may be compulsory and these checkboxes will be greyed out. You can change information about a branch in the CRM.

Terms & conditions

Each of the text fields relates to receipts for a particular transaction type. Enter your terms and conditions into the text fields and these will be added to the end of any receipts for that transaction type.

Text size

Use this dropdown to increase the font size by 2pt, from Normal to Large.

FAQs

Why does my POS receipt not look centered?

First, ensure that you have selected the correct sized roll paper for your printer. The standard sized roll paper that is used is the 80mm x 297mm. We recommend using the EPSON TM-m30II receipt printer.

In your printer settings, try adjusting the scale. After each adjustment, print a receipt and look to see if the alignment has improved. Repeat this process until the text appears centered.
