Bulk update products
Overview
You can update your Cin7 Omni products in bulk. You will need to:
Export your products and update their details in a spreadsheet.
Import the spreadsheet.
Map the spreadsheet to Cin7 Omni fields.
Group products to update Name, Style Code, or Code.
Test and import products into Cin7 Omni.
You can't undo your imported changes to a product (without manually updating the details). Make sure you test your import and you are happy with the updates before you import.
Export data
Before you can update your products in Cin7 Omni, you must first export your products and update their details in a spreadsheet.
Import data
We recommend importing a small amount of products first as a test. After you have successfully imported a few products, you can update the rest of your products.
From the left hand navigation, select Products.
Select Actions,and then Import and Update Products.

You can then import your products by selecting either:

Import from file upload
Cin7 Omni will import the data from the uploaded spreadsheet.Select Choose file and then select your .csv spreadsheet.
Select Next Step.

OR Copy and paste file from clipboard
You can copy and paste the data from a spreadsheet. Cin7 Omni will then import what you have pasted.Copy your spreadsheet data and paste it into the field.
Select Next Step.
Map the spreadsheet columns to Cin7 Omni fields

Cin7 Omni will suggest fields that match your spreadsheet columns.
If the Cin7 Field is blank, or mapped to the wrong field, click on the Cin7 Field dropdown and choose the field you want to update.
Select Next Step.
Group products
You can group your products based on their product name, product style code, and product code.
Select Group byName or Group by Style Code to update the main product details.

Select Group by Code to update product options fields. You can't update existing product option codes, but you can create new codes.
If you are adding new product option codes, select Group by Style Code. Your spreadsheet would look like this:
Select Next Step.

Click Download with import status marked to review the import. This helps avoid duplicating products or importing errors.
Select Next Step.
Test and import products

Select Test to check if the import is successful.
A green success message will display to inform that the product import process was successful. If there are any issues with the import, an error message will appear. Make the changes to your import before testing again.
Select Import New Product to import your product data into Cin7 Omni.
FAQs
Why do I get an error when mapping fields?
There are a couple of reasons that you may receive an error. Make sure that you are uploading data from an exported spreadsheet. If you still receive an error, try selecting the correct Cin7 Field from the dropdown. If your unable to map without error, please contact our friendly support team.
