Payment portal customer experience

Overview

Once you’ve connected a gateway, added buttons, and tested your workflows, the Payment Portal will be ready to use.

This article summarizes the steps your customers take when payments are processed via the portal.

Paying invoices

After your customer receives your invoice or email, they:

  1. Select Pay Now.

  2. Select Full Payment or enter a partial payment, then select Continue. (A third option appears if payment terms are applied and include deposit requirements ).

  3. Enter their credit card details through a secure connection and make a payment.

 

A “Payment Success” screen appears. Your branded content can be added to the Payment Success screen. Learn how.

A payment confirmation email is sent automatically, depending on your custom settings.

Accept quotes

After your customer receives your quote, they:

  1. Select Accept Now.

  2. Select Full Payment or enter a partial payment, then select Continue. (A third option appears if you apply payment terms with deposit requirements to sales orders.)

  3. Enter their credit card Details, and make a payment.

 

A quote acceptance confirmation screen appears. Your branded content can be added to the screen, and your customer can receive a confirmation email depending on your custom settings.

Accept quotes on account

You can use custom settings to give customers the option to accept a quote and pay on account. After your customer receives your quote, they”

  1. Select Accept on Account or Accept and Pay Now.

  2. Selecting Accept on Account displays a confirmation screen. The quote is converted or copied to a sales order, depending on your custom settings.
