Purchase Order - Pop up warning if product not by the preferred supplier

When keying in a Purchase Order. If the product is not listed by the preferred supplier then could a warning pop up to show that it's supplied elsewhere? This would need to be an on/off setting for customers as some products can be ordered by multiple suppliers. But for users that only buy specific SKU's from specific suppliers, this would be really useful to avoid ordering the wrong products.
