Expiration date for batch stock
Batch stock items do not currently have an expiration date. This is the most critical reason for even having an batch/lot tracking system. We need the expiration date to be forced input at WMS check in and/or PO module, and a corresponding report and/or notification system when inventory has expired.

Hi Justin,
Expiry Date field isn't activated by default in Cin7 but they can add it. This allows you to tag product as it comes into stock with an expiry date, and also have it pull through on sales orders. Just raise a ticket and they'll add it.
Note: Make sure you request it on ALL transaction modules, as you'll need it if you do branch transfers, adjustments and production jobs for those items.
Also - in some cases Expiry is not accessible if using the API - it's available in MOST places, but not all, so it's one of those fiddly ones if you're considering using the API in your workflow (ie: sending to 3PL's and needing access to Expiry date field to pass through). Hope this helps.
