Use Static Cost for Auto-population in Sales Orders

Kevin Lam

My company is running into an annoying feature where the COGS is based on average/last used/not there when we are creating a Sales Order. When we were first set up with CIN7, we asked for a customization of our Product Module where the cost of our product already had tiered pricing. This was supposed to be make things more efficient since we would select which cost tier we are in from our supplier and that should populate when we create the Sales Order. However, based on CIN7's understanding of COGS, we are losing time having to recheck the cost of the good each time because what is populating is not reflective of what we entered in the cost field!

Is anyone else running into this issue where you just want the cost you enter for the product on its product page to simply appear on a Sales Order?

Yes, same problem here. Once the item gets allocated, it changes to the cost to the actual. But it is annoying, and does this on Quotes too.
