Parts Used in a Production job to show in Sales Reports

Daje Leinius

We created PJs  and realizes later that the parts used to create the production jobs did not show in the sales reports (Sales by either invoice or created date).

We used the sales report to try and forecast stock requirements for around 160 products and realized to late that our forecasts were off because of this issue.

Is it possible to create a report to show "How much has been used" in a production job?

This will benefit businesses trying to figure out how much to order in a few months.

My clients that use the Production Module currently tend to run a sales report for Year to date, but the sales report identifies sales by period for an individual SKU but if the SKU is used in a kit then although this can identify the Kit SKU sales, we need to break down the components and add them to the individual SKu to get our correct sales. Can a report be made that shows us the combined individual and Kit Unit Sales, it is fine to omit the $ value, just the total number of units sold is sufficient and then to have it broken down every month would be great!

I have two clients that need this, it helps with forecasting what to order.

We are also in need of this really urgently. Currently we cannot use Production jobs, which is quite a problem, because we cannot track the use of items/sales in the normal reporting.

Production Jobs By Completed Date Report is new Report which is built with different design.
It is based on completed date of PJ which includes parent and component Products, as well as its cost and qty information.
You are able to manage the period by changing start - end date. It is terribly cumbersome though, as you need to “open” each single tab in every row and column manually. No one has time for that. Unless I cannot figure out how to use it? I have lodged a current case about this, but have yet to set up a time with a support consultant.
