Set up Walmart Marketplace

Overview

You can connect your Walmart Marketplace and Cin7 Omni accounts together.

API details

Before connecting to the Walmart Marketplace, you will need to retrieve some details from the Walmart Marketplace including a Client ID and Client Secret used to ensure a secure connection.

  1. Go to the Walmart Developer Portal.

  2. In the Developer Portal, select Login in the top right corner, and then select the US flag under Marketplace Seller Login as the Login Type.

  3. Next, you will be directed to a page where you can generate your API credentials.

  4. Note your Client ID & Client Secret as you will need these shortly.

Add Walmart Marketplace to your Cin7 Omni

Once you have retrieved the required details, you will need to add the Walmart Marketplace module to your Cin7 Omni account.

To add the module:

  1. While logged in as an Administrator, from the left navigation, select App Store.

  2. Under the Marketplaces category, select Walmart Marketplace.

  3. Select Request App Installation.

Cin7 Omni Customer Success will receive the request and will get in touch with you.

Connect the Cin7 Omni and Walmart

Next, connect the two accounts using the details obtained earlier.

  1. From the left navigation, select Integrations and then Walmart Marketplace.

  2. Select Settings on the top right of the Dashboard.

  3. Select Connect on the left.

  4. Enter your Walmart Marketplace Client ID & Client Secret.

  5. Select Save Connection Settings to connect Cin7 Omni to the Walmart app.

    • If you were previously connected to Walmart using the deprecated Consumer ID and Private Key authentication, clear the Consumer ID field under Deprecated Auth Settings in order to switch to the current method.

The app should now display Connected at the top of the Dashboard.

FAQs

I've added the Walmart Marketplace module but can't find it in the left navigation.

In some cases, after adding the app, you will need to select the Refresh button at the bottom of the left navigation menu before the module will appear. If after doing so the app still doesn't appear, please contact Cin7 Omni Support.
