Upload prices to WooCommerce

Overview

Find out how prices are uploaded to WooCommerce.

The success of your business is underpinned by competitive, profitable prices.

When you upload or download products between Cin7 Omni and WooCommerce, those products’ prices are uploaded and downloaded too. But, to ensure WooCommerce stays in sync when your products’ prices change, you need to upload new prices and special prices to WooCommerce.

How prices are uploaded

In Omni, a product’s price is set at the level of the option (including size options and units of measure (UOMs)), and each option has several prices (or price tiers).

Which prices are uploaded is determined by your WooCommerce integration’sPrice TierandSpecial Pricesettings, as well as whether the Omni product has an active Special$ price. Where those prices are uploaded is determined by whether the matching WooCommerce product has variations (that is, whether it’s a simple or variable product).

Uploading prices to simple products (no variations)

When you upload the price of an Omni product without options (that is, with only the default option) to a WooCommerce simple product (that is, a product without variations), that Omni product’s price at the selected Price Tier (in your integration’s settings) will become the WooCommerce product’s Regular Price.

And, if that Omni product’s Special$ price is active (as determined by its Start Date and Days), then its price at the selected Special Price (in your integration’s settings) will become the WooCommerce product’s Sale Price. Additionally, the Omni product’s Start Date will become the WooCommerce product’s Sale Price Dates > From date and Omni product’s Start Date + Days will become the WooCommerce product’s Sale Price Dates > To date.

Uploading prices to variable products (with variations)

When you upload the prices of an Omni product with multiple product options to a WooCommerce variable product (that is, a product with variations), each Omni product option’s price at the selected Price Tier (in your integration’s settings) will become the matching WooCommerce variation’s Regular Price.

And, if any product option’s Special$ price is active (as determined by its Start Date and Days), then its price at the selected Special Price (in your integration’s settings) will become the matching WooCommerce variation’s Sale Price. Additionally, the Omni product option’s Start Date will become the WooCommerce variation’s Sale Price Dates > From date, and the Omni variation’s Start Date + Days will become the WooCommerce variation’s Sale Price Dates > To date.

Upload prices

To upload prices to WooCommerce, you must have enabled Products > Update Pricing and chosen Price Fields (Price Tier and Special Price) in your WooCommerce integration settings.

Then you can upload prices:

  1. Log in to Cin7 Omni.

  2. From the Integrations menu in the navigation, open your WooCommerce integration.

  3. On the Product Activity tile, select Update Recent Modified Pricing. You’ll see a list of all products with new prices. If you want to upload new prices for only a subset of products, use the search box to filter the list. Only prices of products in the list will be uploaded.

  4. Select Update Recently Modified Pricing.

Prices are also uploaded when you upload new products  too. Prices are never uploaded automatically.
