Set up MailChimp

Overview

You can connect your Cin7 Omni and Mailchimp accounts together.

Mailchimp API Key and List ID

Before you can connect Mailchimp to your Cin7 Omni account, you must first create an API Key, then find the ID of the list you'd like to update.

To create an API Key:

  1. Login to your Mailchimp account.

  2. Select your profile name, top right, and select Account & billing.

  3. Select the Extras drop-down menu, then select API Keys.

  4. Go to the Your API Keys section and select the Create a Key button. For more information, see About API Keys.

  5. Select the label and name the key Cin7.

  6. Copy and save this API key for future reference (it will be a string of letters and numbers.)

 

Next, find the ID for the list to which you'd like your Cin7 Omni contacts added.

  1. Select Audience on the menu bar then go to the Audience dashboard.

  2. Select the Manage Audience drop-down and select Settings.

  3. Copy the key under the Unique id for audience company name field. This is the List ID.For more information, see Find Your List ID.

Add Mailchimp to your Cin7 Omni

Once you have retrieved this information, you will need to add the Mailchimp Partner module to your Cin7 Omni account.

  1. While logged in as an Administrator, from the left navigation, select Integrations then App Store.

  2. From the App Store, select Sales & Marketing then select Mailchimp.

  3. Select Request App Installation.

The Cin7 OmniAccount Management team will receive the request and get back in touch with you.

Connect the two accounts

Next, connect the two accounts using the details obtained earlier.

  1. Log into Cin7 Omni using your Administrator account.

  2. Select on your username in the top right corner and select Settings.

  3. Under Integrations, select Mailchimp.

  4. Enter the API Key in the field provided.

  5. Enter the List ID in the field below.

  6. Select Finish to save the settings.
