Update Etsy order status

Overview

You can update the order status in Etsy when orders have been dispatched in Cin7 Omni.

Update order status

When an order has been fully dispatched in Cin7 Omni (i.e., a fully dispatched date has been entered), it is possible to update this status back to Etsy.

  1. From the left navigation, select Integrations and then Etsy.

  2. From the menu, select Update Cin7 Order Status To Etsy.

  3. Orders in Etsy will now appear as Completed.

  4. Cin7 Omni will update two other fields when updating the order status:

    • Etsy's Tracking Code field will be populated with Cin7 Omni's Tracking Code.

    • Etsy's Carrier Name field will be populated with Cin7 Omni's Freight Description.

  5. Updating the order status will send the buyer a shipping notification email. If the Freight Description (and therefore the Carrier Name field in Etsy) matches an approved Etsy Carrier, then the email will include a tracking link for the carrier service.
