Set up Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce)

Set up Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce)

Overview

Find out how to install, connect, and configure an integration with Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce).

We suggest testing your integration with your Magento staging server: first, set up an integration with your Magento staging server, and then once you’re confident with its configuration, set up an identical integration with your live Magento site, and uninstall the staging integration.

We strongly recommend working with Adobe support to set up this integration.

1. Install Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce)

  1. Log in to Cin7 Omni as an administrator.

  2. From the navigation, open the App Store.

  3. Open the Ecommerce tab.

  4. Select Magento 2.

  5. Select Request App Installation.

  6. Enter a short, descriptive name for your integration and select Install to confirm.

Once Cin7 Omni support receives and approves your request, you’ll find your Magento integration in the Integrations menu in the navigation.

If you’re setting up your second Magento integration (that is, an integration with your live site), also create a case with Cin7 Omni support  to have your integration with your Magento staging server uninstalled.

2. Connect Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce)

To connect your Magento integration, first you must create a new integration in Magento.

How you create that integration depends on how you’ve set up Magento. You must, though, give that integration full access to your Magento resources and find its

  • URL

  • API path

  • access token

Then you can connect Cin7 Omni to Magento:

  1. Log in to Cin7 Omni as an administrator.

  2. From the Integrations menu in the navigation, open your Magento integration.

  3. Open Settings.

  4. Open the Connect tab.

  5. Enter your Magento URL into Shop Host Name – make sure to remove the protocol (http, https) from the URL, and choose the protocol from the menu instead.

  6. Either

    • if your Magento API path is the default, set API Path to Default, or else

    • if your Magento API path is not the default, set API Path to Custom and enter your Magento API path.

  7. Enter your Magento access token into Access Token.

  8. If Username and Password fields are shown, enter your Magento access token into Username, too. Leave Password empty.

  9. Either

    • set Use Stock Extension to No, or else

    • set Use Stock Extension to Yes.

  10. Select Save Connection Settings.

To confirm you’ve connected, select Back to Dashboard and then Test Connection.

3. Configure Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce)
