Update fulfillment statuses in Shopify
Overview
Shopify uses order statuses to track the progress of your orders.
But to track your orders accurately, Shopify needs up-to-date details of the status of orders after they’ve been downloaded to Cin7 Omni.
Find out how to configure your Shopify integration to update the fulfillment status of Shopify orders from Omni once they’ve been dispatched.
Configure update fulfillment status
You must enable your integration to update the fulfillment status of Shopify orders:
Log in to Cin7 Omni.
From the Integrations menu in the navigation, open your Shopify integration.
Open Settings.
Enable Download Orders.

Under Update Order Status:
Select Enable Update Order Status.
Optionally, if you want Omni to automatically update fulfillment statuses on a schedule, enable Order Status Auto-Update.
Optionally, if you only want to update the fulfillment statuses Shopify orders that have a Tracking Code in Omni, set Restrict Order Status Updates to Tracking Code.
Select Save Settings.
Update fulfillment status
The fulfillment status of a Shopify order will only update if it has a Fully Dispatched Date in Omni. It must have a Tracking Code in Omni, too, if you’ve set Restrict Order Status Updates to Tracking Code in your Shopify integration settings (see above).
To have Shopify orders' fulfillment statuses updated automatically, enable Order Status Auto-Update in your Shopify integration settings (see above).
Otherwise, to manually update the fulfillment statuses,
Log in to Cin7 Omni.
From the Integrations menu in the navigation, open your Shopify integration.
Select Update Dispatched Orders on the Order Status tile.
After you’ve updated a Shopify order’s fulfillment status, that order’s Fulfillment Status will be set to Fulfilled in Shopify. The sales order’s Tracking Code in Omni will become its Tracking number, and its Carrier will become its Carrier, too.
Carrier mapping
If you update a Shopify order’s fulfillment status and its Carrier in Omni is not a carrier approved by Shopify, then the order’s Carrier in Shopify will be set to Other.
You can have non-approved Omni carriers mapped to approved Shopify carriers. Contact Cin7 Omni support to set up carrier mapping.
