Offline orders in POS

Overview

Cin7 Omni's POS works online and offline. If you lose your internet connection, you can continue to trade until you connect to the internet again.

All sales made while you are offline are stored as parked sales. You will need to export these offline transactions and import them into your Cin7 Omni account.

If you are having trouble with your POS, try following ourtroubleshooting steps.

Do not clear your browser cache or cookies as this will remove your offline orders. You can do this once your offline orders have been exported and imported into Cin7 Omni.

Export offline orders

After the Offline Orders are exported, they will be deleted from the POS.

  1. Click on Offline Orders.

  2. A list will appear with all of the Offline Orders, click on Export Offline Orders.

  3. Select Export and Delete Orders. This will create a text file that you can import later when your POS is online.

You can now clear your browser cache and cookies as you have exported your sales.

Import offline orders

You can take the exported offline orders and import them into your POS when you are online.

  1. Click on Offline Orders.

  2. The Offline Orders will open, if you have exported all of your orders, the list may be empty.

  3. Click Import Offline Orders.

  4. Open the text file with the exported orders.

  5. Copy and paste the orders into the import field.

  6. Click Import.

  7. Click Sync Orders in the Offline Orders to sync those orders back to Cin7 Omni.
