Set up Capsule


You can connect your Capsule and Cin7 Omni accounts together.

Add Capsule to your Cin7 Omni

Once you have retrieved this information, you will need to add the Capsule module to your Cin7 Omni account.

  1. Whilst logged in as an Administrator, from the left navigation, select Integrations then App Store.

  2. From the left navigation, select App Store, then select Sales & Marketing and thereafter select Capsule.

  3. Select Request App Installation.

Cin7 Omni account managers will receive the request and will get in touch with you.

Connect to Capsule

  1. From the left navigation, find Capsule.

  2. Select Connect.
    You will need to log in to Capsule at this stage if you have not done so already.

  3. You will be returned to Cin7 Omni once connected.

The status of the connection is shown above, and the account that is connected will be shown. You can disconnect at any time by selecting Disconnect.

Setting contact type

There are two types of contacts used in Capsule: People and Organizations. People are identified by First Name and Last Name. Organizations are identified by their name. Cin7 Omni can create and update either.

To select which to create:

  1. Select the Set Capsule Contact Type tab.

  2. Choose either People or Organization from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select Set Contact Type.

  4. Select Refresh Data.

Set contact details mapping

In the Set Contact Details Mapping You can alter the assignment of delivery and or billing addresses.

Set default opportunity milestone

Opportunities in Capsule are created with specific Milestones. You can specify which Milestone to use when creating Opportunities from your Cin7 Omni Quotes.

To select which to create:

  1. Select  the Set Default Opportunity Milestone tab.

  2. Choose a milestone from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select Set Milestone.

  4. Select Refresh Data.

Match existing contacts

Before using the Capsule Integration it is a good idea to match contacts between Cin7 Omni and Capsule. This will check Capsule for any matching Cin7 Omni contacts. This will prevent you from unintentionally creating duplicate contacts.

To match contacts:

  1. Select the Match Existing Contacts tab.

  2. Check the contacts that you'd like to match.

  3. At the bottom of the list, select Match Contacts.
