Sync transactions
Overview
All of your Cin7 Omni transactions will need to sync to your Accounting software.
Ensure that your Cin7 Omni account is connected to your Accounting software. This can be checked or reconnected in the Accounting Dashboard Settings, on the Connect page.
This only applies to V2 of the Xero or QuickBooks Online Dashboards. Follow these steps to sync your transactions to your connected Accounting software.
Sync all button
Please be aware that the ‘Sync All’ button only syncs the items listed in its corresponding dropdown; Customers, Invoices, Suppliers, Supplier Invoices and COGS.
We hope this button saves you a little time in its current form, despite not including all transactions that require syncing.
Therefore, all the other transactions on your Accounting Dashboard will still require you to perform the sync to your Accounting software.
Sync sales transactions
Please note: if Customer Contacts are not already linked to contacts in your Accounting software, then any Sales transactions for those contacts will not sync to the Accounting software.
From the left navigation panel in Cin7 Omni, select Accounting, then your installed Accounting Dashboard.
In the first row of tabs, select “Sales”.
All the “Sales” related sub-tabs are shown in the second row of tabs.
Select the “Customers” sub-tab.
All customer contacts that have not yet been synced or have changes will be listed here.
Select all customer contacts and then click the “Upload All” button to sync them to the Accounting software.
All customer contacts synced correctly will be removed from this tab.
Proceed to the next “Sales” sub-tab and select all the items listed and then click the “Upload All” button to sync them to the Accounting software.
Continue this process for all the “Sales” sub-tabs
We recommend you select all items on each sub-tab to sync them together rather than doing individual items in each sub-tab.
Sync purchase transactions
Please note: if Supplier Contacts are not already linked to contacts Accounting software, then any Purchase transactions for those contacts will not sync to the Accounting software.
From the left navigation panel in Cin7 Omni, select Accounting, then your installed Accounting Dashboard.
In the first row of tabs, select “Purchases”.
All the “Purchases” related sub-tabs are shown in the second row of tabs.
Select the “Suppliers” sub-tab.
All supplier contacts that have not yet been synced or have changes will be listed here.
Select all supplier contacts and then click the “Upload All” button to sync them to the Accounting software.
All supplier contacts synced correctly will be removed from this tab.
Proceed to the next “Purchases” sub-tab and select all the items listed and then click the “Upload All” button to sync them to the Accounting software.
Continue this process for all the “Purchases” sub-tabs

Sync adjustments
From the left navigation panel in Cin7 Omni, select Accounting, then your installed Accounting Dashboard.
In the first row of tabs, select “Adjustments & COGS”.
Select the “Adjustments” sub-tab.
All adjustments that have not yet been synced will be listed here.
Select all adjustments and then click the “Upload All” button to sync them to the Accounting software.
All adjustments synced correctly will be removed from this tab.
We recommend that you select all items on the sub-tab to sync them together rather than doing individual items.
Sync retail (if applicable)
From the left navigation panel in Cin7 Omni, select Accounting, then your installed Accounting Dashboard.
In the first row of tabs, select “Retail”.
Select the “Gift Vouchers” sub-tab.
All gift voucher transactions that have not yet been synced will be listed here.
Select all gift voucher transactions and then click the “Upload All” button to sync them to the Accounting software.
All gift voucher transactions synced correctly will be removed from this tab.
Proceed to the next “Store Credits” sub-tab and select all the items listed and then click the “Upload All” button to sync them to the Accounting software.
