Set up Salesforce

Overview

You can connect your Cin7 Omni and Salesforce accounts together.

Install Salesforce

First, you will need to add the Salesforce integration to your Cin7 Omni account.

  1. Whilst logged in as an Administrator, from the left navigation,  select Integrations then App Store.

  2. From the App Store, select Sales & Marketing then select Salesforce.

  3. Select Request App Installation.

 

Cin7 Omni account managers will receive the request and will get in touch with you.

Connect to Salesforce

Next, to connect the two accounts - you will need the API User Email.

  1. From the left navigation, select Integrations then Salesforce.

  2. Select Connect to Salesforce.

  3. Login to Salesforce with your credentials.
    N.B. To access the API, your salesforce account must be granted the "API Enabled" permission.

  4. You will be returned to Cin7 Omni, where you can continue configuring the integration.

  5. Please ensure that you have active pricebooks in Salesforce as not having one will cause issues with the loading of the settings page.

Setup Salesforce

Once you have connected the two accounts, you will be able to configure how the Salesforce Integration should work.

To open your Salesforce settings, select Setup on your Salesforce integration's dashboard.

Connect Tab

  1. Enter your email (the one used to connect to Cin7 Omni) into the field API User Email.

  2. Set Sandbox to No.

  3. Select Save Connect Settings.

Products

Choose how Cin7 Omni Price Tiers interact with Salesforce Price Books.

  1. Set the number of price books.

  2. For each price book, choose a Salesforce Price Book and the Cin7 Omni Price Tier it relates to.

  3. Choose a date for Last Updated. Only products updated after this date will be updated when using the Update recently Modified Products button.

Sales Orders: Quotes and Opportunities

Decide whether you want to import Salesforce Quotes or Salesforce Opportunities into Cin7 Omni as sales orders.

If you want to import Salesforce Opportunities, set Import Type to Opportunities. Only Opportunities marked "Closed Won" in Salesforce will be imported

Or if you want to import Salesforce Quotes, set Import Type to Quotes. Only Quotes marked "Accepted" in Salesforce will be imported.

Then configure how your Quotes / Opportunities are imported:

  1. Default Currency

  2. Accepted Status (the default is "Closed Won" for Opportunities and "Accepted" for Quotes)

  3. Payment Terms

  4. Delivery Date

  5. Tracking Code

  6. Carrier

  7. Last Updated

Select Save Settings.
