Overview

Find out how to download WooCommerce refunds as Cin7 Omni credit notes.

WooCommerce refunds are used to reimburse customers and restock goods.

And when you restock a product via a refund, you’ll need to restock that product in Cin7 Omni too, else your stock levels in WooCommerce and Omni will differ.

To make it easy to synchronize your stock levels, you can configure your WooCommerce integration to download WooCommerce refunds as Omni credit notes. Then, when you issue a refund that restocks goods, you can download it as a credit note to Omni.

Configure download refunds

You must configure your WooCommerce integration to download refunds as credit notes:

Log in to Cin7 Omni.
From the Integrations menu in the navigation, open your WooCommerce integration.
Open Settings.
Open the Settings tab.
Ensure Download Orders is enabled.
Under Download Orders:
- Select Enable Credit Note.
- Use Credit Note Default 3PL Status to choose a default 3PL Status for credit notes downloaded from WooCommerce.
- Use Credit Note Default Accounting Status to choose a default Accounting Status for credit notes downloaded from WooCommerce.
Select Save Settings.

Download refunds (as credit notes)

Once you’ve configured refunds to be downloaded (see above), any refund that restocks goods will be downloaded to Omni as a credit note when you download sales orders from WooCommerce.
