Check customer credit notes

Check customer credit notes

Overview

You can review your Customer credit notes for items that do not have a Credit Note Date and/or a Completed Date.
It also outlines the specific errors caused by different missing dates.

Review your customer credit notes

We recommend you do not filter by selecting dates so you can review all customer credit notes.

If a Customer Credit Note does not have a Credit Note Date it will not be available on your Cin7 Omni Accounting dashboard to be synced to your Accounting application.

  1. In the Cin7 Omni navigation, select Sales, then Credit Notes.

  2. In Customer Credit Note Status, select Completed.

  3. Check if any row has a blank in the Accounting column. This indicates there is no Credit Note Date for that item.

If a customer credit note does not have a Completed Date it will not have COGS included in the COGS journal synced to your Accounting integration.

  1. In the Cin7 Omni navigation, select Sales, then Credit Notes.

  2. In Customer Credit Note Status, select Open Credit Notes.

  3. Check if any row has a blank in the Completed Date column.

  4. If any row also has a blank in the Accounting column, then it is also missing the Credit Note Date.

Update the missing Date(s)

Update Individually
Click into each credit note individually to update the Credit Note Date and/or the Completed Date.

Sync Transactions
Now that you have updated your Customer Credit Notes, remember to sync the updated transactions to your Accounting application.
You can do this from your Cin7 Omni Accounting dashboard.
Remember to sync the resulting customers first, and then Customer Credit Notes.
