Accept a quote

Overview

When a quote is accepted by a customer, you will do two things:

  • Accept the quote in Quotes.

  • Copy the quote to a Sales Order, to create a sale.

Once this has been done, the standard sales procedure should be followed.

Accept a quote

  1. From the left navigation, click Sales, then Quotes.

  2. Find the quote from the list, and select its reference number.

  3. Enter an Acceptance Date.

  4. Select Save and Back to List.

The quote is now accepted.

Copy a quote to a sale

To complete the quote process you must convert the Quote to a Sale.

  1. From the Quote List page, hover over the cog icon, and select Admin.


    - or -

    From within a Quote, select either Go to Admin or Save to Admin.

  2. On the Admin page, hover over Actions and select Copy to Sales Order.​​​​​​

  3. In the screen that follows, a Sales Order will be created based on the specifics of the Quote, fill out the required details and select Approve.

  4. Select Save and Back to List to save the Sales Order.

What is the difference between Copy to a Sales order and Convert to a Sales order

Copy to a Sales order will retain the Quote and create a Sales order with the customer information and product information from the Quote. Converting the Quote to a Sale will remove the Quote and create a Sales order using the customer information and product information
