Shopify product variants deleted
On the 22nd of August 2024 (NZT), some customers had their product variants deleted from their Shopify store. We have rolled back the cause of this issue, but the product variants were not recovered in this process.
Follow the steps below to add your missing product variants to Shopify. Repeat these steps for each affected Shopify store.
Missing product variants to Shopify
You can upload your missing product variants to Shopify from Cin7 Omni. Any uploaded product variants will match your Cin7 Omni product information, not the original Shopify information (if it was different from Cin7 Omni).
Remove old mapping and create new mapping
This will not remove any existing information in your Cin7 Omni products.
In the Shopify Dashboard in Cin7 Omni, select Download Products on the Product Status tile.
In the Download Products tab, select Import All Products.
Wait for this process to complete before moving to step 4. This may take a few minutes.
Keep this tab open.In a new browser tab, go to the Shopify Dashboard.

In the Product Status tile, select View Mapped Products.
If you have any custom mappings, select Download Product Mappings. You can reference this file to recreate your custom mappings.
If you have no custom mappings, skip to the next step.
Select Delete All. This will delete your existing mappings to Shopify.
Open Download Shopify Products, your previous browser tab from step 3. Select Next.
In Products Not Matched page, select Next.
For custom mappings, you can recreate your mappings manually (using the file as a reference).
If you have no custom mappings or you have completed your mapping, select Next.Select Back to Dashboard.
Upload missing product variants
In the Product Status tile, select Upload Product Options.
Select Upload Recently Modified Product Options.
This should upload any missing product variants for that Shopify store from Cin7 Omni.
Still missing some product variants?
There are a few reasons why you are missing some of your product variants:
Some product options may not upload because they have a Disabled Product Option Status.
You may need to backdate your Upload Product Options After setting.
In Cin7 Omni, go to your Shopify integration.
Select Shopify Settings.
Change the Upload Product Options After date to 5 years ago (01.01.2019).
Select Save Settings.
Now you can upload the missing product variants.
