Sync stock levels with Amazon FBA
Overview
Find out how your Cin7 Omni stock levels keep in sync with Amazon FBA, and, when they get out of sync, how to import stock levels from your Amazon FBA.
A product's stock level is the number of units available for sale.
It's crucial that Cin7 Omni has an accurate record of what stock is available at Amazon FBA fulfillment centers. If stock levels are overestimated, you could oversell goods and damage your reputation. If they're underestimated, you could lose sales.
Typically, because Amazon FBA is linked to an Omni branch, you don't need to upload or download stock levels between Omni and Amazon FBA to keep them in sync:
When you create a purchase order or branch transfer for that branch in Omni, the transaction will alter Omni's stock levels and the associated shipping plan will alter Amazon FBA's stock levels by the same amount.
When you use Amazon FBA to fulfill a non-Amazon sales order, the sales order will alter Omni's stock levels and the associated pick request will alter Amazon FBA's stock levels by the same amount.
And, when you use Amazon FBA to fulfill Amazon Seller sales order, the sales order will be sent from Amazon Seller directly to Amazon FBA, altering your Amazon FBA stock levels. Then, when you download the sales order to Omni via your Amazon Seller integration, it will alter Omni's stock levels by the same amount.
At times, though, your Omni and Amazon FBA stock levels may get out of sync, such as when stock is lost, damaged, or found at an Amazon FBA fulfillment center. Amazon FBA doesn't notify Omni when this happens.
So, if you think your Omni and Amazon FBA stock levels are out of sync, you can import your Amazon FBA stock levels to Omni.
